Tongue Twister

Greg Sinclair

Tongue Twister is one man’s attempt to say tongue twisters in as many different languages as possible. Whilst also trying to dance. And make music. And do all the costume changes without leaving the stage.

Tongue Twister is a celebration of the musical beauty of language, and was originally made as a short film called Seashells.

“Thanks to costume designer Alison Brown, these strange phrases find physical form in a multi-tiered skirt, a three-level cake, a brain/frog hybrid, a web of tin cans and an aunty in a tent. By the end, the stage is covered in colourful props, the visual wonder matching the playful possibilities of the spoken word.”

— The Guardian

“from a brain with frogs-legs to a seemingly infinite tower of skirts, each serves to illustrate or empower the spoken word. This is a highly polished, joyful, yet considered plunge into the avant-garde.”

— The Quinntessential Review
