This song cycle is inspired by composer Martin Green’s fascination for the universal affinities he finds in folk songs around the world. Folding Songs brings together music from Scotland and Serbia and although they originate from two ostensibly different cultures, these songs share universal themes of love and loss, heartbreak and hope.
